Technical data
Under the hood of the Audi RS7 Sportback 2022 lies the improved V8 4.0 TFSI with twin turbocharging, which increases power to 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This new engine surpasses the previous performance version, which was equipped with a 605 horsepower engine with 750 Nm of torque.
The car has improved dynamic performance, accelerating to one hundred kilometers per hour in 3.6 seconds (0.1 seconds faster) and is electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h. If you purchase the Dynamic or Dynamic Plus package, you can reach up to 280 or 305 km/h, respectively.
The new engine features cylinder deactivation at low loads and is equipped with a simple hybrid setup. A 16 horsepower starter-generator provides more acceleration in the first few seconds after starting the 2.5-ton liftback. In addition to acceleration, the generator also activates the start-stop system, which saves fuel in city driving.
The ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, permanent
all-wheel drive with Quattro, and self-locking Torsen axle provide driving
dynamics and quick acceleration. The new RS7 comes standard with four driving
modes: Automatic, Comfort, Dynamic, and Performance, as well as two extreme
driving modes: RS1 and RS2.
Extreme driving conditions are adjusted to individual steering parameters depending on road conditions and driving conditions. The air suspension and Dynamic Ride Control dampers provide comfort in the new Audi RS7 Sportback.
The five-link system provides a split response in longitudinal and lateral directions, while the Sport mode pushes the vehicle onto the track and reduces ground clearance by 20 mm. At a speed of 150 km/h, this system ensures that the cabin is minimally or not accelerated, does not wobble in curves, and provides maximum comfort in difficult terrain.
Exterior
The second generation of the 2022 Audi RS7 Sportback has an aggressive, some might say flamboyant, exterior. The sports car openly displays its muscles. The sharp edges of the embossed front and rear bumpers, the huge and massive air intakes with black metal grilles, the diffusers, and the embossed side panels give the car dynamism, power, and unparalleled grace.
It took the Audi designers a long time to combine grace and power, and the seventeenth study impressed with its camouflage design and didn't have as many sharp lines.
Most of the body parts are not carried over from the previous models: there is a retractable spoiler that activates at 100 km/h, the original sills, bumpers, and fenders.
The trunk lid, roof, doors, and hood are taken from the original five-door Audi A7 Sportback II. The look is rounded off by 22-inch wheels in the original design with 285/30 tires. The less loaded base version has 275/35 R21 tires.
Car Interior
The interior of the new Audi RS7 2022 is dominated by a
style of luxurious minimalism. The seats and side panels are covered with
expensive leather, and each seat is quilted with massage lines. There are
hardly any buttons in the interior, as three touchscreens are responsible for
everything.
The central 10.1-inch display is responsible for the multimedia system, while the 8.6-inch screen is responsible for the air conditioning, seat heating, ventilation, etc. The third display is the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit, which has a special graphics mode in the RS 7.
The interior features a sports steering wheel and seats with special stitching, metal pedal pads, and striking decor. The trunk has a standard capacity of 535 liters but can be expanded to 1,390 liters by folding down the second-row seatbacks.
Price
The price range for the new Audi RS7 Sportback quattro
Tiptronic is 175,433 euros.
